The first track on the album was one of the last to be made. The instrumental is basically influenced by Darkthrone from the time of 2003's Hate Them.

The lyrics talk about depression, when the cold can not hurt anymore and then there is an encounter with death.

There is a passage that says "I look up, you are so beautiful but far away. The night embraces me, my skin feels the cut of your sharp sword. I feel no more pain under the sign of darkness".

These lyrics are very deep for me, they represent what I felt when my mind was full of suicidal thoughts. It's a very dark song that opens the
opens the album the way I would like it to, taking me to places that take me out of comfort, so I can face my own demons.
